The Bella Vista - Colorado Vacation Rental - Experience the Magic!
Outdoor ActivitiesThe Colorado Rocky Mountains offer many summer vacation activities including Golfing, Tennis, Fishing, White Water Rafting, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, and Hunting.

At the Bella Vista Estate:

Enjoy our 20′ x 40′ in ground, heated, swimming pool conveniently located just outside of the Main House. Take in the spectacular mountainside views, while listening to your favorite music poolside. (OPEN Memorial thru Labor Day)

Play tennis at our on-site regulation size tennis court equipped with night lighting or horseshoes at our tournament style horseshoe pit. Other outdoor activities at our private resort include Tennis, Basketball, Croquet, Horseshoes and Bocce Ball.

Winter Activities:

Ski VacationsThese outdoor activities provide an opportunity to integrate the many outdoor winter adventures Steamboat has to offer. Your on-site property managers are happy to make reservations or recommendations for any of the following activities available in or near Steamboat Springs:

SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING: Nestled 7,000 feet up in the Colorado Rockies, Steamboat is one of North America’s largest ski mountains. These sunny, West facing, family friendly mountains are packed with 164 trails, 3600 vertical feet, and nearly 3,000 skiable acres, its six peaks are filled with world-class groomed cruisers, bumps, open meadows, legendary tree skiing, and Mavericks, North America’s longest super pipe. In the winter season Steamboat Springs receives up to 440 inches of its legendary Champagne Powder at the ski area’s 3000 acres of diverse terrain. NORDIC SKIING: The Steamboat area also attracts cross country skiers. Great places to track ski in the valley are Catamount, Vista Verde, The Steamboat Touring Center, and Steamboat Lake State Park. If you combine all the areas together we have well over 100 kilometers of groomed track in the Yampa Valley.

SNOWMOBILING
:
We are located closer to the Rabbit Ears Pass snowmobile
trails than any other accommodation in Steamboat. We also have ample space
to park snowmobiles and trailers on the premises.

SNOWSHOEING:There are snowshoe trails on Rabbit Ears Pass, not far from the Bella Vista
front gate. Other nearby trails are Spring Creek Trail, Emerald Mountain, Ferndale,
Fish Creek Trail, and Strawberry Park Hot Springs

DOG SLEDDING:Dog sled tours are available in the town of Steamboat

HOT AIR BALLOONING: Is available for individuals and groups year round, weather permitting, in Steamboat Springs.

ICE CLIMBING: Available from early December to early March. Climb a frozen waterfall only 5
minutes from Steamboat. Our vendors provide all equipment as well as instruction from professional
guides.

SLEIGH RIDES:A team of horses, a warm blanket and you are off on a 40 minute sleigh ride through the Yampa Valley, or enjoy a sleigh ride / steak dinner combination in a cozy cabin with live country music.

Ski VAcations SNOWCAT SKIING: There are more than 10,000 acres of permitted snowcat skiing terrain just a few minutes from our private vacation rental property. Steamboat receives some of the deepest, driest and most consistent snowfall in all of the Rocky Mountains, so you will be able to ski and ride the terrain to match your deep powder skills. Summer Activities:

ALPINE SLIDE: Ride a 4 wheeled cart down a 2,400 foot slide. Located on Howelsen Hill in downtown Steamboat, the Alpine Slide is open from Memorial Day through Late September. Read More, Howler Alpine Slide

Outdoor ActivitiesBIKING: Both paved and off road trails are abundant in the area. You can also catch a Gondola to the top of Mt. Werner and experience a 10,000 foot downhill bike ride.

In downtown Steamboat, you will discover a beautiful bike path that runs parallel to the Yampa River. The entire family can ride this mostly level path that winds through aspen trees and wooden bridges that cross the river. Along the bike path you will find a children’s playground, restrooms, and historic hot springs. Read more about Mountain Biking.

BOATING: Canoeing, Kayaking, Tubing, White Water Rafting and Water Skiing. The Yampa River, Stage Coach Reservior, Lake Catamount, and Steamboat Lake are all a short distance from our private resort. Outdoor Activities

CLIMBING: Rock climbing is available for adults and children at all levels from beginner to advanced. The climbs vary from 25 feet to 450 feet. Read more about Rock Climbing.

FLY FISHING: There is public fly fishing right on the Yampa River in downtown Steamboat. The Yampa is public from the ski area on down through the old town of Steamboat. There are also outfitters and tour guides who will take you to private waters where you can fish for Rainbows, Cutbows, Cutthroat, and Whitefish.

GOLFING: Haymaker Golf Course is located on Highway 40, just 3 miles from our private resort. Haymaker is an 18 hole, public access course, with rolling fairways, deep bunkers, and meandering streams bordered by mountains. It features a full practice facility, pro shop, and a bar and grill. Tee times at the scenic 9 hole Steamboat Golf Club or the Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club are available by contacting the Property Managers.

HIKING: Nearby trails include Spring Creek Trail, Emerald Mountain, Ferndale, Fish Creek
Trail, and Strawberry Park Hot Springs. Trail conditions are best in Summer and Fall. Read more about Hiking.

Outdoor Activities HORSEBACK RIDING: Horseback riding stables and ranches are located both in and near Steamboat Springs.

HOT AIR BALLOONING: Is available for individuals and groups year round, weather permitting, in Steamboat Springs.

HUNTING: Rifle and Archery hunting on both public and private land is available near Steamboat. Guided hunts for all types of indigenous game are also accessible.

TUBING: Tubing the Yampa is a local’s favorite activity. Rent a tube a take a liesurely, lazy float right through the heart of dowtown Steamboat Springs.

WHITEWATER RAFTING: Whether you’re looking for a scenic float or a whitewater adventure, choose from 5 different rivers offering Beginner to Advanced rafting from early May to late August.
